So thin and fragile
and so forlorn
Ripped from this life
so violently, so soon

But we’re both stranded
on this tiny blue marble
lost in endless space
And we looked at the same moon,
she and I, the same
cold and lonely moon
And now we’re both here
together in the same place
After all this time
What are the odds?
Yet she never knew me
She couldn’t have imagined
But I know her
Sixty-five million years since,
and half a world away.
ForgettingXaryth. It had been so long since anyone else had said it.
She knew many things.
She knew how to fight,
She knew she was immortal.
But she did not know how old she was.
Xaryth. She reminded herself not to forget.
